My staycation was truly a great experience, and a huge part of that was because of Kendric. He genuinely goes above and beyond for every guest. From check-in to check-out, he was professional, attentive, and incredibly welcoming. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. He made sure I had everything I needed, answered all my questions with patience, and handled everything with such a positive attitude. What stood out most is how personable and kind he is. He doesn’t just “do his job”, he makes you feel valued and appreciated as a guest. That level of hospitality makes all the difference. It’s rare to find someone who combines professionalism with such a warm, friendly personality. The rooms at the hotel were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The hotel is also in a prime location with Stardust Diner, Applebee’s, McDonald’s, and a deli nearby, which made it super convenient whenever I wanted to grab something to eat. Because of Kendric and the overall experience, I will definitely be coming back. Exceptional service like that deserves to be recognized!

This place was complete LUXURY!!!! It was so much fun. They have their own dining room and the bathrooms were really nice to. The service was awesome to. Though their snacks in the hotel room were quite expensive they made our new York trip 10x better! Their is also quite a few places to go eat around outside the hotel. One of their workers offered us a gift card to a delicious Italian pastries bakery.

Second time staying at Michelangelo this past weekend, and it was another great stay. Hotel is in a great location; walking distance to theaters, Broadway, Radio City, Rockefeller Plaza, restaurants, Times Square, subway, etc. The facilities are in really good shape, and the rooms are spacious and clean. They have great black-out shades in the room to buffer street lights and noise. It's definitely become one of our favorite accommodations in NYC. We'll definitely be back!

First of all, I wanna fo a shoutout to the staff of this lovely hotel. I drove to NY to pick up my cat. And he got lost. Elizabeth, the front desk was very helpful and patient with me throughout the night cause this was past midnight. I literally had to inconvenience the whole floor. Leslie the security manager and the rest of the staff were so helpful trying to find my cat. I am beyond greatfullll. This hiteknis at the center of everything by the way. Its close to Central Park witg an affordable price!:) will come back again! Breakfast was phenomenal.!!!!

This is a very old, stately hotel, and while I admire its original charm, some features no longer make sense for today’s traveler. For example, the bar area had no sink, microwave, trash can, or serving trays, and the refrigerator had no freezer. The carpet was visibly stained with red marks, and the wooden furniture—though beautiful—could use some TLC, as there were noticeable dings throughout. On the positive side, the staff and customer service were impeccable—truly outstanding. The room and the hotel overall were also extremely clean. And the drinks were so so good. It's really a cool stay, just deserves some TLC to ensure its integrity.

Our stay here in February 2026 was a two night stay we were upgraded to a junior suite. The hotel staff was very professional, helpful and friendly our entire stay. We were able to drop off our luggage early before our room was ready. Our room had many amenities and was very comfortable. Once we figured out the thermostat we got it cooled down comfortably. My only negative comment is that the hotel seems a bit worn and tired in spaces. Most of the drawers/cupboards in our room were loose on hinges or didn’t sit right. This had nothing to do with the comfort of our stay, only purely visual and functional. We loved staying there and would stay again.

We had an overall pleasant stay at the hotel during our city trip. The staff at the reception were extremely helpful and friendly, and the doorman and bellhop were cheerful and always ready to assist with any questions. The rooms themselves were adequate, slightly dated, but clean. The hotel offers a range of useful amenities, including a gym, hairdryers, and bathrobes. However, there are some notable drawbacks. The hotel is very poorly insulated, and street noise can be heard clearly in the rooms, almost as if the windows were open. We strongly recommend bringing earplugs for a restful night’s sleep. A significant concern for us was the service at the bar, specifically from one staff member, Shawn A. Unfortunately, we found his behavior to be extremely unprofessional. He was consistently unfriendly, barely acknowledged us, and took our order with obvious reluctance. As a result, we chose not to leave a tip. Shawn responded by making a sarcastic remark about this to another guest in our presence. This behavior is in our opinion unacceptable and does not reflect the professional standards one would expect at a hotel of this caliber. While we understand that everyone can have an off day, we encourage management to address this issue to ensure all guests feel welcome and respected.

I had a great stay at the Michelangelo. I was there for four days for work. The rooms are a little tired and could use a refresh, but that is not uncommon in manhattan hotels. Despite this I enjoyed my stay because they got a lot of the important things right. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. My room was huge, which is very uncommon in NYC. The shower had good pressure and was hot. The hotel was very quiet. Double windows were installed so the outside noise didn’t come in at all. The room was very clean. Most important was the staff. It is a very welcoming hotel where the people who work there are kind, helpful and fun to talk with. Lastly, the location is superb. I was had meeting all over the City and found this to be a highly accessible location. I mostly used the subway for which there are a few lines within a block of the hotel.
